About The Position

Richemont, a global luxury goods conglomerate, is seeking a Director of Wholesale to lead its wholesale team. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance the brand's presence and drive growth through commercial analysis and point-of-sale engagement. The individual will collaborate internally and externally to optimize sales by managing brand positioning, product assortment, inventory, in-store presentation, sales team education, events, and marketing. This position requires frequent presentations to the leadership team. It is a hybrid role based in NY, reporting to the Vice President of Wholesale.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of applicable experience in a luxury fashion company or related field is ideal.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment; efficient, agile, and adaptive to changing priorities.
  • Passion for exceeding goals and driving business through excellent in-store and online execution.
  • Strong analytical skills (proficient in Excel and retail math).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Domestic and International Travel Required up to 30% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, manage, and drive all aspects of the business by client/category/channel/store.
  • Create, analyze, and interpret reporting to develop, present, and execute strategic actions to drive sell-in and sell-out.
  • Ensure key strategic brand objectives are cascaded and executed online and in stores through internal and external collaboration.
  • Develop, manage, and negotiate all open-to-buy budgets to meet company sales targets.
  • Proactively manage sales and inventory throughout the network to optimize sales and margin.
  • Cultivate active relationships with GMMs, DMMs, buyers, planners, store leadership, and sales staff regarding product opportunities, brand positioning, presentation, and competitive business.
  • Present collections in market and oversee, review, process, and manage all orders.
  • Lead the wholesale team.
  • Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Manage dedicated sales staff programs.
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive wholesale business across all channels.
