About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and directing the assigned warehousing team in achieving business and financial objectives by providing Tyson Foods a competitive warehouse advantage. Responsibilities include: Leading all safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment is achieved; Representing Warehousing to business unit leadership; Ensuring the growth and development of their leadership team to ensure a strong, sustainable pipeline of talent is in place; Planning for and managing assets such as Inventory, plant property and equipment; Providing business planning such as budgets goals and projections; providing recommendations for improvements in operations; Develop effective warehouse management solutions by ensuring inventory throughput is optimized and inventory integrity is maintained throughout the warehousing process; Achieving regulatory compliance domestically and internationally; Providing training for future Tyson managers; Analyzing and forecasting manpower and equipment needs for the locations; Developing operational plans to increase cost savings; Performing other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
10 plus years of distribution management experience
Must have demonstrated success in leading a diverse group of administrative and or operational teams to include managing business and capital plans.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Standard computer skills.
As needed travel.
