About The Position

The Director, Warehouse & Distribution Systems provides strategic leadership for warehouse and distribution systems that support DePuy Synthes’ supply chain and customer fulfillment operations. This role is responsible for setting direction, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost‑effective distribution capabilities. The position has broad impact across service levels, operational efficiency, and system scalability, playing a critical role in enabling business growth and continuous improvement across the distribution network.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, distribution systems, or supply chain systems leadership.
  • Proven experience leading large‑scale warehouse or distribution system initiatives in a regulated or complex operating environment.
  • Strong leadership experience managing managers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive system optimization, process improvement, and performance management.
  • Experience partnering with IT and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • English proficiency required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing and distribution environments.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), distribution automation, and supply chain technologies.
  • Experience leading global or multi‑site distribution system operations.
  • Change management experience supporting large transformation initiatives.
  • Supply chain, logistics, or project management certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design, and governance of warehouse and distribution systems supporting domestic and global operations.
  • Oversee system performance, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, IT, Quality, and external vendors to ensure systems meet business, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive implementation and optimization of warehouse management and distribution technologies, including upgrades and system integrations.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, service metrics, and operational controls to ensure consistent, high‑quality performance.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for managers and technical teams within warehouse and distribution systems.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards across all supported distribution environments.
