About The Position
The Director, Walmart Services leads the development and execution of critical projects end to end across the financial services product suite. This role oversees financial and business case planning, partner management, tech requirements and tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver differentiated solutions that meet customer and business needs. The Director champions strategic initiatives and ensures operational excellence while fostering a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and talent development. By aligning resources and priorities, this position supports Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and exceptional service through effective leadership and business acumen. Walmart’s Financial Services team is dedicated to transforming access to affordable financial solutions through a seamless omnichannel experience. This team integrates customer insights, financial expertise, and retail operations to develop innovative offerings that address unmet needs and create value. Collaborating closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and external partners, the team drives differentiated solutions to market. Members lead cross-functional initiatives, manage business strategies, and focus on delivering measurable results that support Walmart’s commitment to customer-centric growth and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience directing cross-functional teams and managing complex business initiatives.
- Expertise in developing and executing business strategies that drive growth and operational excellence.
- Strong proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Exceptional skills in project management, prioritization, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to influence and inspire collaboration.
- Commitment to integrity, ethical standards, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Adaptability and a customer-focused mindset to support innovation and business transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field and 5 years’ experience in consumer services industry, project management, product management, process improvement, retail operations, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in consumer services industry, project management, product management, process improvement, retail operations, or related area.
- 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of critical launches to enhance Walmart Services’ offerings and business performance.
- Oversee financial planning and business case development, budgeting, and business prioritization to support operational objectives and growth initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and collaborate with partners to implement initiatives timely.
- Direct new features and service activities to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
- Analyze business objectives and customer needs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
