About The Position

Oversees and manages services within the regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Education to assist first-generation, low-income, and/or academically at-risk eligible veterans in eight target area counties to be prepared to succeed in postsecondary education.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, higher education, education administration, public administration, or other related field is required.
• Three (3) years of related experience in higher education is required.
• Direct service experience with meeting academic, social and economic needs of low-income/first-generation/disabled or disadvantaged student populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all EKU Veterans Upward Bound program activities, including but not limited to, establishing relationships with service agencies and other external stakeholders and ensuring the program is compliant with laws and regulations.
• Supervise and professionally develop program staff.
• Develop and disseminate budgets, grant proposals, and other reports and maintain and submit required records of program activity and participants.
• Support the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
