About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Director, Vendor Management to oversee the company's entire post-RFS operational vendor ecosystem. This role is responsible for managing all operational service vendors and platform vendors (Jira, ServiceNow, Sunbird DCIM, Linear/Procore, Salesforce) that are critical to the business's daily operations. The Director will manage the full commercial relationship with these vendors, including strategy, contracts, negotiations, SLA governance, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). This position will also collaborate with the Director of Finance & Business Intelligence to ensure alignment on platform performance and reporting, and will coordinate with the construction organization on post-handover vendor needs without directly managing the construction supply chain procurement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in vendor management, procurement, or operations, ideally in infrastructure, datacenter, or tech.
  • Experience managing diverse vendor portfolios spanning operational services and software/platform vendors.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and legal-commercial fluency.
  • Ability to work effectively with Legal and Finance departments.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team across multiple vendor categories.
  • Familiarity with procurement and vendor management systems.
  • Comfortable with SaaS and platform vendor commercial structures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end vendor strategy for all post-RFS operational service vendors, platform vendors, and facilities management/preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a tiered vendor classification system.
  • Establish SLAs, KPIs, and escalation protocols for all operational service and platform vendors.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly vendor performance reviews.
  • Resolve vendor performance failures and escalate contractual breaches with recommended remedies.
  • Manage the strategic relationship with Salute, including contract oversight, performance reviews, and escalation management.
  • Oversee all commercial relationships, contract negotiations, renewals, and QBRs for platform vendors and Facilities Management/Preventative Maintenance vendors.
  • Partner with Director, Finance & Business Intelligence to ensure contracts and SLAs meet data access, integration, and configuration needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with the construction supply chain organization on post-handover construction vendor needs.
  • Manage and develop two Senior Managers: Vendor Operations and Vendor Contracts.
