The Director of Transformation Acceleration Office (TAO), also referred to as a Value Stream (VS) Coach is accountable for driving complex, strategic, cross-functional transformation disciplined portfolio governance with embedded Value Stream (VS) team enablement practices, fostering high-performing team behaviors, and delivering measurable results. This role focuses on developing and embedding F2B transformation practices, cultivating team effectiveness, and ensuring consistent delivery aligned to enterprise strategy. The VS Coach partners closely with VS teams and leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable execution, champion cultural behaviors, and scale learnings across the enterprise. The Coach plays a critical role in sustaining transformation momentum and establishing a collaborative, outcome-driven environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of business experience; financial services or insurance preferred
  • 5–8 years of experience in consulting, transformation programs, or F2B process re-engineering, preferably in financial services or insurance.
  • Deep understanding of multiple business areas and functions across the enterprise, supported by strong financial and technical skills
  • Experience with performance measurement, value tracking, and structured problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to utilize multiple communication modes to garner support and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Action-oriented, creative, strategic thinking that identifies and connects opportunities, sees gaps, and finds points of connectivity across the enterprise
  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box to simplify complex metrics and information into easy-to-understand concepts and senior executive messaging
  • Ability to influence without authority, including mid-level to senior management; create buy-in to effectively move work forward.
  • Seen as a credible, trusted confidant and mentor whom others seek out for advice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on establishing positive relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Guide VS teams in applying F2B best practices, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Deliver enablement sessions, workshops, and hands-on coaching to embed new ways of working.
  • Develop manager and front-line skills to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of F2B best practices across value streams.
  • Research, analyze, and synthesize business insights to support problem-solving and strategy development.
  • Continually evaluate and learn new tools and approaches to improve coaching effectiveness and TAO impact.
  • Understand the business need; educate and influence leaders on how to enable and implement desired changes to achieve transformation goals
  • Develop implementation plans and partner with teams to ensure successful execution aligned to OKRs and enterprise strategy.
  • Champion a cultural shift toward customer-centricity, operational excellence, and value realization.
  • Support teams in translating business priorities into clear problem statements and measurable value hypotheses.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and learning cycles to embed continuous improvement and scale learnings.
  • Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term transformation goals.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with business leaders, project managers, and subject matter experts to surface dependencies and resource needs.
  • Coordinate with specialized resources (CX, Data, Technology, Risk/Compliance) to bring in needed expertise.
  • Support structured reporting and transparency to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and reuse of successful practices across value streams.
  • Champion cultural behaviors such as empowerment, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Model openness to feedback and foster an environment of continuous learning.
  • Partner with change management and communications teams to support adoption of new practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the transformation program.
