About The Position

The purpose of the role is to develop strategic infrastructure requirements, onboard current model suite & new quantitative model methodologies, redevelop models based on monitoring, IVU feedback and business changes, and perform validation processes. This involves delivering advanced model analytics, improving stability, and bringing consistency in calculation approaches. The role also includes leading technical engagements with QA and IVU for strategic redevelopment projects, providing model execution, output analysis, and lifecycle management capabilities for both forecasting and BAU models, and implementing process improvements through enhanced controls, automation, and improved analytics. Key activities include recalibration, sensitivity analysis, and root cause analysis. The Director will also address execution issues with IT and QA, perform UAT, catalogue issues, identify potential improvements for model redevelopment, and author technical documentation with QA.

  • Strong understanding of the US Credit Card market.
  • Ability to manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function.
  • Ability to plan, manage and consult on multiple complex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wide.
  • Ability to manage the direction of a large team or sub-function, leading other people managers and embedding a performance culture aligned to the values of the business.
  • Ability to lead organisation wide projects and act as deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross functionally.
  • Ability to train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions.
