About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Director, TV & Audio (TVAD) to serve as a senior strategic and client-facing lead across YouTube and broader digital video initiatives. This role is heavily focused on YouTube strategy, requiring someone who understands the platform end-to-end and can translate complex campaign data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience across the full YouTube lifecycle, including planning, buying/activation, optimization, measurement, reporting, and strategic recommendations. This is not simply a media buying or activation role; this person will own the strategic POV, lead client conversations, and use performance data to guide future media decisions.

Requirements

  • Approximately 7–8+ years of relevant digital media experience, with depth and quality of experience prioritized over an exact number of years.
  • Deep, hands-on YouTube advertising expertise across planning, activation, optimization, measurement, reporting, and strategy.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube formats, bidding models, audiences, Demand Gen, Shorts, long-form video, and non-skippable video.
  • Experience with Google Ads and the broader Google advertising ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of DV360 and the ability to confidently discuss the platform with clients and Google representatives.
  • Strong understanding of OLV, display, and programmatic media; audio experience is a plus.
  • Experience developing and evaluating full-funnel media strategies, from brand awareness through conversion.
  • Strong measurement background, including experience with Brand Lift, Search Lift, incrementality, and business/ROI measurement.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale and/or evergreen media programs and budgets.
  • Experience building and presenting performance reporting and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and executives.
  • Exceptional client communication, presentation, and strategic storytelling skills.
  • Ability to quickly interpret performance data and turn findings into a clear strategic POV.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with clients, platform partners, strategists, creative teams, and other media channel teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Audio experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead YouTube strategy and client relationships across multiple workstreams, with YouTube representing approximately 60–65% of the role.
  • Own the full YouTube lifecycle, including planning, buying/activation strategy, optimization, measurement, reporting, and recommendations.
  • Develop strategies across YouTube Demand Gen, Shorts, long-form video, non-skippable video, and evergreen campaigns.
  • Lead weekly client performance conversations and clearly communicate what is happening, why it matters, and what should change.
  • Analyze campaign and dashboard data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations that improve business outcomes.
  • Build and present executive-level performance decks that simplify complex media data into clear stories and recommendations.
  • Partner directly with Google representatives, clients, internal strategists, creative teams, and channel teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance across DV360, online video (OLV), display, and programmatic media.
  • Develop a strong point of view around both upper-funnel awareness and lower-funnel conversion strategies.
  • Guide clients on measurement approaches including Brand Lift, Search Lift, incrementality, CPA, CAC, conversions, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure video and display assets are aligned with platform behavior and campaign objectives.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder relationships while maintaining ownership of the overall media strategy and client conversation.
