Reporting directly to the Vice President of Transportation, you’ll help shape the future of our private fleet, carrier network, agricultural transportation, and refrigerated distribution strategy. Requirements

  • Experienced transportation leader with a proven track record of leading private fleet and carrier operations, improving operational performance, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of transportation compliance.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners while driving measurable results.

  • Experience in food manufacturing, refrigerated transportation, or agricultural logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise transportation operations across both agricultural transportation and refrigerated distribution. This includes private fleet as well as third party carrier networks.
  • Develop and coach both Transportation Managers and Carrier Managers while providing leadership across a team of approximately 175 transportation professionals.
  • Improve fleet utilization, transportation costs, service performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build KPI management systems that drive accountability and operational excellence.
  • Optimize transportation strategy through carrier management, benchmarking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Warehousing, Production, Customer Service, Procurement, and the rest of the Supply Chain to solve problems and improve network performance.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, food safety, animal welfare, and company safety standards.
  • Support long-term transportation strategy, technology adoption, and organizational growth.
