About The Position

Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, is seeking a Director, Total Rewards. This role reports into the corporate headquarters in Germantown, WI, and requires an in-office/hybrid work schedule. The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive total rewards programs that align with the organization’s goals, attract top talent, and enhance employee engagement. This includes creating and implementing compensation, benefits, HR Information System (HRIS), and recognition strategies to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and regulatory compliance. Ellsworth Corporation is a family-run company with over 50 years of continuous growth, serving industries such as cell phone, medical device, space/aerospace, and electric vehicles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in developing and managing complex total rewards strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive positive employee experience utilizing Total Rewards programs.
  • Ability to partner with, build successful relationships with, and influence all levels of employees, including senior leaders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on active listening.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, develop multiple solutions, and successfully present the recommended course of action to achieve target return on investment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other similar certification or training.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the organization’s total rewards strategy (Compensation, HRIS, and Benefits), ensuring alignment with business objectives and company culture.
  • Leads and mentors a team of professionals in the areas of compensation, benefits, and HIRS.
  • Designs and manages competitive salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs.
  • Conducts market benchmarking and pay equity analyses to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
  • Evaluates, designs, and manages employee benefit programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other ancillary benefits.
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements and manages relationships with external vendors and brokers.
