This role directly manages the Compensation and Benefits teams, operating within a Centers of Excellence (COE) model to ensure Total Rewards programs are competitive, compliant, scalable, and financially responsible. The Director, Total Rewards will define and maintain the Company’s Total Rewards philosophy, ensuring alignment with business strategy, labor markets, and financial objectives. They will establish enterprise-wide governance frameworks, approval guidelines, and decision standards for compensation and benefits programs, and serve as the escalation point for complex, high-risk, or executive-level Total Rewards decisions. This position leads the Compensation COE, overseeing job architecture, job leveling, role frameworks, market pricing, pay structures, benchmarking, and governing merit, bonuses, and incentive programs. It also leads the Benefits COE, managing medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits programs, including strategy, plan design, vendor governance, and renewals, with a focus on self-funded cost management and wellness initiatives. The role involves direct people leadership, coaching, and development of the Compensation and Benefits teams, fostering a high-performance culture. It requires close partnership with Finance on workforce cost modeling, budgeting, incentive funding, and benefits financial performance, while identifying and mitigating risks related to pay equity, compression, and benefits exposure. The Director will enable managers and leaders to make consistent compensation decisions and partner with HRBPs to apply Total Rewards programs effectively. They will leverage HR systems and analytics to monitor program effectiveness, cost trends, and decision quality, driving continuous improvement and ensuring strong integration between Total Rewards programs and HR systems.
