About The Position

Baskervill is a multidisciplinary design firm with a growing global footprint and over a century of experience. Their Education Studio is expanding and seeking an experienced Director to join their team. This role involves hands-on work across various project types and scales, guided by the mantra 'Ask, Listen, Create'. The ideal candidate will be independent, flexible, detail-oriented, and collaborative, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering
  • 12+ years of professional architecture, interior design or engineering experience, ideally with experience in Education project types
  • Professional licensure or working towards licensure
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Knowledge and aptitude in other design software platforms preferred, including but not limited to: SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Office 365
  • A desire to work collaboratively with team members in a constructive and engaged manner
  • Experience managing/mentoring junior staff
  • The willingness to travel, as there will be travel to regional campuses required

Responsibilities

  • Manage design and production work for the Term Contracts team
  • Work closely with Principals and Baskervill support staff to ensure adherence to Baskervill processes
  • Mentor junior design staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for projects
  • Be involved in all aspects of the design process, including internal and external team meetings, from concept through construction administration
  • Coordinate with internal and external project team members, engineers, and consultants in a timely fashion, with professionalism and compassion
  • Oversee drawings in Revit
