About The Position

As Director of Technical Operations, you will serve as the operational engine of the Technology organization owning IT, compliance infrastructure, vendor relationships, and strategic special projects. You will report directly to the CTO and manage a growing team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical operations, IT management, or a related operational role within a technology-driven organization.
  • Proven experience managing IT teams and vendors in a distributed, multi-office environment.
  • Hands-on familiarity with compliance frameworks including SOC II, GDPR, and/or CCPA.
  • Strong vendor management skills with experience tracking multi-platform spend and driving contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement new technologies, including AI/automation tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technology or operations-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the IT team, setting priorities, driving execution, and developing team members.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations across US, UK, and India offices, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of internal systems and infrastructure.
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes from a systems and access perspective, partnering closely with People Ops.
  • Own operational accountability for SOC II, GDPR, and other compliance programs, working cross-functionally with Legal, Security, and Engineering.
  • Serve as an internal escalation point and occasional external-facing resource for client compliance inquiries.
  • Maintain and evolve the company's data privacy posture as regulatory and client requirements evolve.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive vendor management function across the Product and Technology organizations tracking spend, contracts, renewal timelines, and performance.
  • Manage usage and governance for key platforms including Slack, AWS, and AI tooling, optimizing spend and ensuring appropriate access controls.
  • Lead evaluation and onboarding of new tools and vendors, including due diligence, security review, and cross-functional rollout coordination.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement AI tools that improve team productivity and operational efficiency across the Technology organization.
  • Act as a strategic problem-solver and internal consultant, taking on ambiguous, high-priority initiatives that require cross-functional coordination and creative thinking.
  • Partner with the CTO on operational planning, budget forecasting, and headcount management.
