About The Position

The Director, Tax is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of all federal, state, and local tax compliance, tax accounting, tax planning, and tax regulatory matters for MidAmerican Energy Company, MidAmerican Funding, and affiliated subsidiaries. The position ensures accurate and timely tax reporting, compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards, and effective support of regulatory proceedings. The Director serves as the company's primary advisor on tax matters, evaluates the tax impact of business initiatives and regulatory actions, and develops policies, procedures, and controls that support the company's financial, operational, and regulatory objectives. MidAmerican Energy Company, a Midwest utility, provides regulated electric and natural gas service to more than 1.6 million customers in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
