About The Position

The Community Foodbank of New Jersey is seeking a Director, Talent & Workforce Strategy to lead its learning and workforce development initiatives. This role is crucial for strengthening organizational capability, enhancing leadership effectiveness, driving AI adoption, and fostering employee growth. The Director will collaborate across the organization to identify skill gaps, create effective learning solutions, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning. Key responsibilities include managing onboarding, leadership and professional development, succession planning, performance management, and career development programs. The role will also utilize workforce data to assess impact, implement improvements, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and the CFBNJ mission.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in learning & development, talent development, organizational development, or human resources.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing programs, teams, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Proven experience in leadership development, succession planning, organizational learning, and workforce development.
  • Experience leading organizational transformation, culture change, or capability-building initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI adoption, digital transformation, automation, chatbots, analytics, or machine learning within HR or business environments.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, talent management, and leadership development.
  • Skilled in workforce analytics, change management, project management, coaching, and stakeholder influence.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, Microsoft 365, and learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive partnership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Adult Learning, Education, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide learning and development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design and lead leadership development, succession planning, career development, and performance management programs.
  • Build AI workforce capability through AI literacy programs, role-based learning pathways, and adoption initiatives.
  • Assess workforce capability gaps and implement scalable learning solutions.
  • Oversee onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing programs.
  • Use workforce data and analytics to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align talent and development initiatives with business needs.
  • Lead the Learning & Development function, including team management, budgets, vendors, learning platforms, and external partnerships.
