About The Position

The Director, Talent Business Partners leads a team of Talent Business Partners (TBPs) to deliver strategic Talent solutions that drive business performance and organizational effectiveness at a national level. Serving as a key partner to the Vice President, Talent Business Partners, this role plays a critical part in executing the enterprise Talent strategy, aligning people initiatives with business priorities, and enabling leaders to achieve their objectives. The Director provides visionary leadership, operational oversight, and subject matter expertise, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-impact Talent programs and practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR Business Partnering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Strong expertise in HR strategy, talent management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior and executive-level leaders.
  • Experience designing and executing Talent strategies at scale within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong project and change management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Agile and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a track record of driving innovation and implementing change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Talent Business Partners, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Align team priorities with enterprise Talent strategy and evolving business needs.
  • Effectively allocate resources to ensure optimal support across client groups and consistent delivery of Talent services.
  • Partner closely with the VP, Talent Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to operationalize Talent strategy across assigned client groups.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Serve as the senior TBP for designated client groups, delivering direct support as needed.
  • Ensure Talent initiatives are aligned to business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
  • Oversee the execution and continuous improvement of Talent programs, processes, and tools across the TBP function.
  • Drive consistency and excellence in the delivery of Talent projects and initiatives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the employee experience.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure the function remains innovative and competitive.
  • Partner with business leaders to diagnose challenges and deliver tailored, data-driven Talent solutions.
  • Lead and support key initiatives including talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Provide guidance and resolution on complex employee relations matters, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, internal policies, and HR best practices.
  • Coach leaders on compensation philosophy and reinforce manager capability and ownership.
  • Partner with Talent Planning & Analytics to lead workforce planning cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities.
  • Leverage data and insights to inform decision-making, identify trends, and prioritize areas of focus.
  • Enable the TBP team to effectively utilize analytics tools to enhance planning, forecasting, and talent outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, Benefits, and other COEs to deliver an integrated Talent experience.
  • Act as a key liaison between the TBP team and the broader Talent organization.
  • Represent the TBP function in cross-functional initiatives and enterprise projects.
