About The Position

The Director, System Performance and Operations Strategy is a high-impact leadership role focused on optimizing the performance of Symbotic’s advanced automation systems across customer distribution environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our robotic and software-driven solutions operate at peak efficiency—driving measurable improvements in throughput, reliability, and overall operational performance. You will lead the end-to-end identification and execution of performance improvement initiatives across highly automated sites—diagnosing system constraints, uncovering opportunities through data, and implementing solutions that scale across the network. Working directly within live customer environments, you will partner closely with site leadership while collaborating with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to translate insights into action and deliver sustained results. This role blends strategy with execution. You will influence priorities at both the site and executive level, drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, and lead initiatives from concept through deployment—ensuring solutions are not only designed, but successfully implemented, adopted, and scaled. Success in this role requires strong operational rigor, technical curiosity, and the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments while delivering meaningful, measurable impact.
