About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking a Director Surgical Services to join their team. The Department Director is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. This role identifies cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department, considering business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers. The position establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Director identifies and remedies issues through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement, and works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. This role oversees Surgery, Anesthesia, Preop PACU and PAT, Scheduling, and Sterile Processing Services. The Director will also assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
- Current Texas RN License
- BCLS and ACLS
- Five (5) years' experience in surgery as circulator
- Two (2) years' experience in surgery management that includes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
- Independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians
Nice To Haves
- Baccalaureate degree preferred.
- CNOR preferred
