The role of Supply Chain Manager for Materials provides overall leadership for all material management activities on large, complex EPC projects ranging from $500M to $4B. This role is accountable for developing and executing the material management strategies and personnel that ensure schedule certainty, cost discipline and effective risk management across all aspects of the management of the materials through the initial sourcing strategy through to field material management operations. Develop and execute integrated Project Material Management Plans and Strategies to align and support overall EPCM Project Execution. This includes overseeing the development of detailed logistics, purchasing, expediting, material planning and field material management plans. Analyze situations, identify and forecast problems, evaluate options, and implement appropriate actions and mitigations to maintain the project construction schedule. Manage personnel, provide an environment for staff development and professional advancement, including training opportunities and performance feedback. Support our Sales Group in the development of integrated material management strategies that align with execution, risks and market intelligence Review the project scope of work and prime contract and develop modifications to standard templates and terms and conditions for final legal review Maintain strong working relationships with clients and suppliers and actively participate in leadership and sponsorship meetings Establish and define the project staffing requirement and communicate staffing needs to office or functional management Strong understanding of the engineering, design and construction process on EPC project, their sequencing, deliverables and key infaces with Supply Chain in all phases of project execution including early engagement, estimates and detailed engineering. Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures, ensure safe work practices, and adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards. May need to travel to attend to business related matters Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality Other duties as assigned
