About The Position

Hadrian is seeking a Director, Supplier Quality and Development to build and lead the function responsible for ensuring its external supply base meets the quality and delivery standards of its factories. The role will establish the quality management system and compliance framework for outside manufacturing, own supplier quality performance end to end, and grow a team to support Hadrian’s expanding supply chain. The work covers external suppliers, including foundries and machine shops, and a growing mechanical commodities supply base.

Requirements

• Supplier quality and/or development experience in aerospace, naval, marine, or directly transferable defense hard-goods manufacturing.
• Strong FAI, CAPA, and PFMEA discipline.
• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to build and grow a team.
• Willingness to travel regularly to foundries and machine shops.
• Experience establishing supplier quality processes and systems from scratch at a startup or high-growth company, ideally in mechanical commodities.

Nice To Haves

• Six Sigma Black Belt or formal Lean certification.
• DoD/ITAR program exposure.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA requirements, SUBSAFE, and weld/NDT quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the supplier quality and development team.
• Build the quality management system and compliance framework for external supply, including AS9100 and maritime requirements.
• Own supplier quality performance end to end, including FAI, CAPA, and PFMEA discipline.
• Lead supplier development, working hands-on with foundries and machine shops.
• Manage supplier on-time delivery and risk across a growing mechanical commodities supply base.
