About The Position

The Director, Strategy and Performance Excellence leads strategic initiatives and performance improvement efforts across the organization. This role will partner with senior and executive leaders to translate organizational priorities into actionable plans, improve operational performance, and drive accountability for results. The Director also provides analytical, project management, and change leadership support for complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, operations, performance improvement, analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution and measurable results.
  • Experience working with senior and executive leaders, including developing analyses, recommendations, and presentation materials for executive audiences.
  • Strong project management and change leadership experience, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and ability to learn to use new software and systems is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Six Sigma, Lean, Agile experience is a bonus.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving, process improvement, or continuous-improvement methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior and executive leaders to translate organizational priorities into clear goals, actionable plans, workstreams, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead or support the execution of high-priority strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators, scorecards, and management processes that measure progress against organizational goals.
  • Analyze performance trends, identify risks and opportunities, and facilitate action-oriented performance discussions with leadership.
  • Prepare decision-oriented reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Reinforce accountability for commitments and help senior leaders improve the quality and effectiveness of their materials, insights, and performance discussions.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement efforts that strengthen performance, simplify processes, and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Apply systems thinking, structured problem-solving, analytics, and continuous-improvement methodologies to understand root causes, interdependencies, and downstream impacts.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to improve the use of data, reporting tools, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Translate business needs into practical requirements and help ensure leaders have timely, reliable information to support decisions and performance management.
  • Build strong relationships across functions and levels of the organization to align stakeholders, resolve barriers, manage change, and drive execution of shared priorities.
