About The Position

At Omnicell, we’re transforming healthcare through intelligent automation, cloud-native technology, and operational excellence. As our Global Cloud Operations organization continues to scale, success depends not only on world-class engineering and operations, but also on exceptional execution, strategic planning, organizational alignment, and operational governance. As Director, Strategy & Operations, you will serve as the VP’s strategic advisor and operational partner, helping shape the direction of one of the company’s most critical technology organizations. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, communications, finance, organizational development, and executive leadership. You will enable leaders to operate more effectively, accelerate cross-functional initiatives, improve organizational transparency, and ensure that strategic priorities are translated into measurable business outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on solving complex organizational challenges, influencing executive decision-making, and building scalable operating models that enable engineering organizations to perform at their highest level. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Cloud Operations, the Director, Strategy & Operations serves as the operational and strategic leader responsible for driving execution across the Global Cloud Operations organization. This position is far more than an executive assistant or project manager. It is a senior leadership role responsible for organizational strategy, business operations, portfolio management, executive communications, organizational planning, governance, financial planning, executive reporting, and cross-functional execution. You will work closely with the Directors of Site Reliability Engineering, Site Reliability Operations, Cloud Platform Engineering, and Cloud Security, while partnering across Product Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, PMO, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Customer Support, and Executive Leadership. Your success will be measured by your ability to create organizational clarity, accelerate execution, improve operational effectiveness, and enable the leadership team to focus on delivering strategic business outcomes. The Director, Strategy & Operations is responsible for leading the business operations, strategic planning, organizational governance, and execution framework for Global Cloud Operations. This role establishes the operating rhythm that enables executive decision-making, organizational accountability, financial stewardship, portfolio execution, leadership communications, workforce planning, and continuous organizational improvement. Serving as an extension of the Vice President, this leader ensures that strategic priorities are translated into coordinated execution across the organization while improving transparency, operational discipline, and organizational effectiveness. As Director, Strategy & Operations, you will define how Global Cloud Operations plans, executes, measures, and continuously improves its organizational performance. Your leadership will enable engineering and operations leaders to spend more time driving innovation and less time managing operational complexity by creating scalable governance, strategic planning processes, executive reporting, portfolio management, financial visibility, and organizational alignment. You will become the connective tissue across the organization, ensuring that priorities remain aligned, dependencies are managed, risks are addressed early, and executive leadership has the information needed to make informed decisions.
