About The Position

The Director, Strategy and Transformation will support the SVP, Finance and Growth – Wealth Management in driving the strategic and financial agenda for Voya’s Wealth Management business. This role is built for a high-performing consultant ready to move beyond recommendations and take on direct ownership of growth and value creation. As Director, Strategy & Transformation, you will partner with senior leadership to identify the biggest opportunities in the Wealth Management business—and then lead the execution required to capture them. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in management consulting combined with a practical understanding of the wealth management industry. You will focus on the initiatives that matter most: accelerating client growth, improving economics, and scaling a new self-service channel. You will combine strategic vision, customer-centric thinking, and technical acumen to translate business objectives into actionable roadmaps. Success in this role is defined not just by ideation but also by driving measurable business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of total work experience, including 3-5 years at a top-tier management consulting firm with a track record of leading teams and delivering measurable client impact
  • Experience in wealth or asset management, or relevant adjacent sectors
  • Strong ownership mindset – you take responsibility for outcomes, not just analysis
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and focus teams on what matters most
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, customer acquisition, and retention strategies in Wealth Management is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify and Capture Value Creation Opportunities: Lead and be accountable for a set of initiatives targeting key drivers of enterprise value; you will: Work closely with senior leadership to pinpoint the highest-impact opportunities to drive outsized revenue and earnings growth in Voya’s Wealth Management business, Prioritize initiatives based on value potential and feasibility, Develop practical, results-oriented plans to capture value quickly
  • Lead Execution of Critical Initiatives: Take end-to-end ownership of cross-functional initiatives to drive new client acquisition and improved retention: Act as a connector across teams, aligning stakeholders around shared goals, Remove barriers, solve problems, and ensure momentum on the highest priority initiatives, Partner with Finance to ensure value is realized and reflected in results
  • Deliver Measurable Results: Ensure value is realized and sustained: Define success metrics upfront and track performance rigorously against clear financial and operational targets, Use data to continuously refine initiatives and improve outcomes, Hold teams (and yourself) accountable for delivering impact
  • Provide Leadership and Influence: Bring a strong point of view and drive decisions in ambiguous situations: Develop clear, practical business cases for investments and new initiatives, Provide leadership with actionable insights—not just analysis, Focus on “what will work” and “how to make it happen”
