About The Position

The Director Shared Sourcing leads the centralized sourcing activities across multiple business units to optimize procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and drive supplier collaboration. This role oversees the execution of shared sourcing strategies that leverage enterprise-wide buying power while supporting individual business needs. The Director is responsible for managing cross-functional sourcing teams, developing category strategies, and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value, innovation, and compliance. The scope of responsibilities includes execution of enterprise shared sourcing initiatives, management of cross-business unit category strategies and coordination of sourcing activities across departments to maximize value and reduce duplication. Typically manages sourcing spend across $890M+ and partners with 1,600+ suppliers supporting multiple business lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive sourcing and procurement experience.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives, driving measurable business results, and delivering operational excellence.
  • Collaborative leader who effectively partners with stakeholders across multiple business units, influences decision-making at all levels, and successfully manages cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise includes strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier negotiations, spend analysis, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize procurement outcomes.
  • Highly analytical, results-oriented.
  • Proficient with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or Oracle.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement shared sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and supplier innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing teams to execute RFx, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate with business unit leaders to balance enterprise-wide sourcing benefits with specific operational requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and process improvement in sourcing activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and suppliers, ensuring alignment of expectations and delivery of agreed-upon outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication and conflict resolution among stakeholders to promote sourcing excellence.
  • Enhance sourcing tools, templates, and reporting to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Ensure sourcing processes comply with corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Utilize data analytics and market intelligence to support sourcing decisions and measure performance.
