About The Position
Reporting to the Global Head, Neurosciences Specialty, the Director, Commercial Analytics & Strategic Insights leads insight generation and analytics across Lupin's Specialty portfolio. This role develops scalable frameworks and actionable insights to support brand strategy, lifecycle management, portfolio prioritization, and business development decisions. The Director partners closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, and Business Development to translate complex data into strategic recommendations. The role's primary objective is to strengthen commercial decision-making through analytics, market research, competitive intelligence, and forward-looking market insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8-10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
- Experience in commercial analytics, strategy, marketing, or business development.
- Demonstrated expertise in patient journey development, commercial/epidemiology-based modeling, competitive intelligence, and primary market research.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent executive communication and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
- Proven influence and collaboration within matrix organizations.
- High intellectual curiosity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical frameworks, tools, and methodologies supporting brand strategy, lifecycle planning, and portfolio prioritization.
- Establish best practices for market modeling, patient-flow analysis, and insight generation.
- Evaluate emerging data and AI applications to enhance commercial decision-making.
- Build patient journey and disease ecosystem models, including diagnosis, treatment pathways, site of care, and switching behavior.
- Analyze patient flow, treatment dynamics, unmet needs, and market opportunities.
- Integrate clinical, real-world, and market data to inform strategy.
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative market research.
- Develop target product profiles, positioning strategies, discussion guides, screeners, and surveys.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews with KOLs, HCPs, payers, and institutions.
- Manage research vendors and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
- Assess competitive landscapes and future market dynamics.
- Develop scenario analyses evaluating pipeline entrants, labeling changes, and pricing/access shifts.
- Build models supporting epidemiology, patient funnels, adoption curves, treatment progression, and access scenarios.
- Refine assumptions used in forecasting, valuation, and strategic planning.
- Translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support brand strategy, launch planning, lifecycle optimization, and portfolio decisions.
- Create executive-level presentations outlining risks, opportunities, and strategic options.
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Finance, and Business Development teams to align insights and business assumptions.
- Support evaluation of internal and external development opportunities through structured market assessments.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership.
- Lead development of enterprise-wide analytical frameworks and methodologies.
- Independently generate insight-driven recommendations.
- Influence brand, portfolio, and opportunity decisions.
- Mentor and elevate analytical capabilities across the organization.
