About The Position

Jasper is developing one of the most advanced AI platforms on the market, and we're looking for a Director, Strategic Finance to help power the financial backbone behind that growth. Reporting directly to our CFO, you'll own the models, forecasts, and narratives that shape how Jasper invests and scales — turning complex data into the insights our leadership team and board rely on to make confident, well-informed decisions. You'll bring rigor and structure to how the business is planned and measured, while partnering closely with leaders across People and GTM to make sure our numbers reflect what's actually happening on the ground. If you’re looking for a high-visibility seat and deep ownership over how a growing company thinks about its financial future, this is the perfect role for you! This fully remote role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is open to candidates located anywhere in the continental US.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A or Strategic Finance experience, including direct management, ideally within high-growth SaaS companies.
  • Track record of building financial systems and processes that scale with a fast-growing business.
  • Strong analytical rigor paired with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive and board audiences.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the flexibility to shift priorities as the business scales.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the Strategic Finance team, providing ongoing coaching and support.
  • Own and evolve Jasper's FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Build and maintain Jasper's financial operating model, incorporating scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders across GTM and EPD to keep financial plans and forecasts grounded in what's actually happening across the business.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on headcount planning and approvals, evaluating requests against budget and the operating model.
  • Analyze OpEx trends, including contractor spend and usage patterns, to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Prepare financial materials and analysis for board and executive-level reporting, and partner directly with the board and executive team to present findings and help shape key decisions.

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage beginning on the first day for employees and their families
  • 401(k) program with up to 2% company matching
  • Equity grant participation
  • Flexible PTO with a FlexExperience budget ($900 annually) to help you make the most of your time away from work
  • FlexWellness program ($1,800 annually) to help support your personal health goals
