About The Position

ServiceNow's event portfolio, including Knowledge, World Forums, and Summits, is crucial for generating pipeline and engagement. This role focuses on driving impact at the intersection of creative strategy and operational discipline, building a content operation that considers various formats, audiences, and business outcomes beyond just on-stage or on-screen content. The position involves establishing an editorial point of view and technical strategy for broadcast and streaming, managing the content asset lifecycle, defining how content serves different audience segments and business objectives, and building the operational infrastructure for scalable execution. The role also contributes to portfolio-wide decisions on content delivery for in-person or online formats, ranging from intimate labs to larger stages. The Director will report to the Sr. Director of Strategic Event Content and Technology and collaborate with marketing, field teams, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in event production, content operations, broadcast, streaming, or related disciplines.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or senior role managing teams or cross-functional programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise driving content strategy and operations at large-scale enterprise events (10,000+ attendees preferred).
  • Strong fluency in broadcast/streaming or multi-format content delivery.
  • Experience across multiple event formats or portfolio-level content planning.
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, or cross-functional programs at a large organization.
  • Fluency with enterprise software, B2B tech, or SaaS environments.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, agencies, and production partners from strategy through post-event evaluation.
  • Understanding of live streaming platforms, broadcast infrastructure, and digital distribution.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting and building consensus with senior marketing and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel for event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Establish content strategy across the event portfolio, including editorial direction for Knowledge, World Forums, and other strategic events, defining stories, framing, and formats for different audiences (live, on-demand, short-form, social, etc.).
  • Make portfolio-level content planning decisions, determining where and how content is delivered across event types and formats, balancing in-person engagement, streamed experiences, and on-demand value.
  • Align content strategy with live production and distribution for major events, covering technical architecture, creative execution, and post-event distribution and measurement.
  • Manage content operations and asset management, including systems and processes for capturing, organizing, tagging, and repurposing content, as well as metadata and archival strategy for discoverability and long-term value.
  • Oversee vendor and agency partnerships for broadcast, production, streaming, and creative services, focusing on achieving outcomes.
  • Manage the content operations team and the budget for content production and technology.
  • Develop a point of view on the future of enterprise event content and identify what ServiceNow needs to build or change to remain competitive.
