About The Position

The Director, Strategic Alliance Programs supports the SVP of Strategic Alliances in shaping and executing the company’s technology partnership strategy, translating industry trends, emerging technologies, and partner roadmaps into actionable programs and scalable business opportunities. This role owns the documentation and maintenance of the execution framework for strategic alliances, converting high-level strategy into clearly defined projects, milestones, KPIs, and operating rhythms that align with corporate growth objectives. Working closely with Investment and Finance, the Director evaluates economic indicators and investment tradeoffs to ensure partnership decisions are grounded in financial and strategic discipline. This role serves as a trusted extension of the SVP of Strategic Alliances and drives seamless execution across a complex ecosystem of internal teams and external partners. The role collaborates cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, legal and commercial teams integrating partner solutions into NTT GDC’s portfolio.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Communications, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, business operations, strategy, alliances, or a related leadership role
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience navigating contracts and investment tradeoffs
  • Experience working with hyperscalers, global technology vendors, and colocation ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners without direct authority
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and effective in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Responsibilities

  • Support the SVP Strategic Alliances in defining and executing the technology partnership strategy, translating industry trends and partner roadmaps into actionable programs and business opportunities.
  • Translate high-level alliance strategy into executable projects, milestones, KPIs and operating rhythms.
  • Own the execution framework for strategic alliances from strategic intent through measurable business outcomes ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations and commercial teams to integrate partner solutions into NTT GDC’s portfolio and ensure seamless execution of partnership programs.
  • Track contractual obligations, joint initiatives, contractual milestones and performance metrics across partners, ensuring partner commitments, internal deliverables and timelines remain aligned as priorities evolve
  • Anticipate execution risks, interdependencies and resource constraints; proactively drive resolution
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise recommendations for senior leadership, driving preparation of executive-level materials for executive meetings, partner negotiations and strategic planning sessions
  • Support senior alliance leaders in managing relationships with hyperscalers, cloud providers, AI companies, network partners, energy partners and technology vendors, serving as a trusted extension of the SVP of Strategic Alliances
  • Analyze economic indicators and investment tradeoffs in partnership with Investment and Finance
  • Monitors emerging technologies and market trends in AI infrastructure, cloud, edge computing, interconnection and sustainability to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
