About The Position

Parsons is seeking a talented Director, Solutions Architect (C-UAS) to join their team. The company is a leader in developing solutions for the Federal Government, focusing on mission infrastructure, biometrics, C-UAS, and multi-domain solutions. This role is crucial for driving business development and growth efforts within the Engineered Systems Market, specifically supporting Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Systems Integration. The position involves shaping the future of Parsons and the nation's warfighting capabilities by providing technical leadership, identifying capabilities, and developing integrated C-UAS solutions for strategic proposals. The role reports to the Federal VP of Strategic Solutions within the Federal CTO organization and collaborates closely with ES management and technical leads. The candidate will drive technical partnerships, identify capabilities, and formulate C-UAS solutions, leveraging expertise in technology, operations, and business planning. This position supports remote work with occasional travel to Parsons offices and other locations in the DC Metro Area.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in technical or business discipline; Technical/Engineering degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of diversified experience, primarily with technology development, engineering management, business development and capture management, with ability to understand and support business goals and objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of the ES markets, to include management and delivery of software/hardware capabilities in support of those mission areas, preferably including C-UAS, air defense, electronic warfare, force protection, or related mission areas.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of the Federal acquisition lifecycle.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.
  • Must have a Secret clearance at a minimum. TS/SSBI preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel, as required, typically 20-30% with occasional surges >30%.

  • Designs innovative and scalable technology solutions, focused on Systems Engineering, Networking & Operations, Open Systems Architectures, Electronic Warfare, Modeling & Simulation, Systems Integration, Operational Test & Evaluation, and C-UAS system-of-systems integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical approaches to architect solutions to counter threats within each domain.
  • Experience integrating multi-sensor and multi-effector C-UAS capabilities, including radar, RF detection, EO/IR, command and control, electronic warfare, communications, and kinetic and non-kinetic defeat systems.
  • Extensive experience supporting mission-critical federal customers, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DoS), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Department of Energy (DOE), and other civilian and defense agencies.
  • Technical focus on systems engineering, prototype development, tactical edge communication/networking/network management and operation, open systems architecture, and a complete knowledge of acquisition life cycle management, particularly as applied to C-UAS capability development, fielding, and sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops, and drives technology solutions within the ES mission areas to support a full understanding of mission and customer requirements, with emphasis on C-UAS, force protection, layered defense, and mission integration.
  • Develops and executes proposal solution development augmented with integrated C-UAS technology solutions.
  • Leads the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance capabilities in support of key growth initiatives.
  • Evaluates and recommends emerging technologies that align with mission and operational needs, particularly across C-UAS sensing, tracking, identification, command and control, mitigation, and sustainment.
  • Leverages a strong network of customer and industry contacts and familiarity with our customers’ major programs and upcoming initiatives.
  • Keeps abreast of the current business climate, evolving UAS threat environment, and overall industry trends.
  • Collaborates with ES Account Executive teams to support emerging growth opportunities, identify and develop solutions for emerging trends, and understand the competitive landscape, with focus on C-UAS mission needs and integrated defense capabilities.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to proposal team from inception to completion, leading the solution development and technical approach volumes.
