About The Position

The Shared Services Engineering – Authorization team is seeking a hands‑on Director to lead and execute the modernization of the authorization platform into cloud‑native solutions, with direct accountability for Tier‑0 reliability and 24×7 availability. As Director, Software Engineering within Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology (BRT), you will lead high performing engineering teams and collaborate closely with product and platform partners to deliver a modern, unified authorization framework. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in cloud technologies, product development, and experience leading technical teams in an agile fashion. They will be able to navigate and manage technical complexities while developing secure and scalable solutions for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and maintaining continuous availability of mission-critical systems that power our authorization platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree with 12 years of knowledge and experience working in software and cloud infrastructure engineering with various technology platforms.
• Experience Handling INC management / Problem Management of Tier 0 platforms and driving 24x7 operational excellence.
• Experience managing business priorities and understanding how to make tradeoffs when considering pace over perfection.
• Proven expertise leveraging AWS cloud services to architect and deliver production‑grade, cloud‑native systems, with hands‑on experience designing and building containerized applications using Java and Micronaut.
• Assist VP of Engineering in developing and implementing a multi-year technology strategy for Authorization platforms aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Experience directing technical teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Solid leadership skills with the ability to Hire, Coach and develop new technical talent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with which you build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization

• Develop a point of view on new and emerging trends to advance solutions that result in efficiencies and faster time to market
• Organizing and driving the work for your team in the most efficient manner, delivering the most value to your technical and business partners in BRT
• Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments across the organization
