This role is for a Director of Engineering for Ascend (Non-Core), leading teams across services including Power Reporting, Public APIs and Data Conversions. Requirements

Demonstrated experience and impact in senior engineering leadership roles
Understanding of DORA metrics and their usage in a modern engineering organization
Expertise in both backend and frontend technologies
Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server
In-depth knowledge of building RESTful APIs
Experience integrating internal and third-party services
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Skilled in leading and influencing within a hybrid and remote environment
Independent and proactive, with a commitment to delivering results with minimal supervision
Empathetic, authentic, inquisitive, driven, self-motivated, diligent, optimistic, and courageous

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Understanding of data migration and ETL practices
