Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field
  • Seven years’ experience, with five years in direct people management/leadership

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and directs the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide software solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for systems, operational tooling, developer portals, and infrastructure for running microservices.
  • Represents engineering and architecture to external and internal partners.
  • Drives major decisions that enable system data and analytics to be more productive and set the example on how to build and maintain software.
  • Balances technical constraints and customer needs to enable consistent architecture and high-quality software, using innovative thinking.
  • Drives data driven improvements to both product quality, engineering excellence and efficiency across the health system.
  • Ensures teams, the health system, and the communities have a clear understanding of the direction of projects and the reasons behind decisions.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to ensure effective communication and clear vision of the organization’s technical future, ensuring alignment with overall mission and market trends.
  • Leads multiple engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, understanding and excellence.
  • Recruits, engages, develops, leads, and manages assigned staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
