The Director, Skilled Trades & Clean Tech position partners with the Strategic Workforce Initiatives Lead on growth, innovation, and execution efforts for national Skilled Trades workforce development initiatives that are driving economic mobility and access to career pathways in the Construction, Energy, and Manufacturing segments. This includes leading operations for the Goodwill Clean Tech Accelerator (TM) national training academy. Key responsibilities are collaborating with industry and philanthropic partners and advancing program models to incorporate leading workforce development practices to expand adoption throughout the Goodwill network and amplify national impact. This position delivers technical assistance, project management, subject matter expertise, and quality standards support for Goodwill member organizations, especially at the executive level, throughout the U.S and Canada. This includes consultation for social enterprise and Mission business models for Goodwill members, which includes feasibility planning, funding development, policy assessment, financial modeling, staffing, training and funding partnerships, industry hiring partnerships, workforce development leading practices, scaling and growth strategies, and strategic knowledge and relationships that advance key sector initiatives. NOTE: This position is supported by grants. The position’s establishment and continuance may be dependent upon on-going grant funding.
