Requirements

Four Year College Degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience with reinsurance contracts required
Extensive MS Word experience and expertise
Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Legally authorized to work in the US

Nice To Haves

Law Degree (J.D.) helpful but not required

Responsibilities

Draft reinsurance contracts, interests and liabilities agreements and related documents in coordination with brokers, clients and reinsurers.
Interpret and assess contracts and perform quality assurance review to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations.
Provide technical guidance to colleagues, brokers, clients and reinsurers as appropriate regarding reinsurance concepts and contract language application.
Participate in Request for Proposal and sales presentations by recommending coverage and wording enhancements.
Promote, build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and reinsurers. Understand issues, resolve problems and review working practices.
Monitor industry developments through news, webinars, committees and conferences.
Participate in department meetings to share opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions, and work to maintain best practices.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
