•$271,000 - $347,000

About The Position

Meta is seeking an experienced security engineering leader to lead the Integrity Investigations, Intelligence, and Events organization (i3E). The organization protects people using Meta’s products from serious threat actors that cause real-world harm. It investigates complex adversarial behavior, turns investigative insights into durable defenses, and works across product, engineering, policy, legal, and public affairs to deter harmful activity. Threat areas include fraud and scams, human exploitation and youth safety, dangerous organizations, nation-state threats, compromise, and abuse of generative AI. The Director will lead security engineer and security analyst investigators organized into pods across several harm domains. The role owns the strategy for investigating adversarial threats at scale, choosing what to investigate, converting findings into enforcement and product defenses, and measuring whether the work reduces harm. The Director is accountable for organizational capability and resilience, including developing leaders and investigative experts. The role also shapes investigative practice across Meta, influences cross-functional roadmaps and strategic investments, and leads an AI-native redesign of investigative work. The role involves exposure to graphic and/or objectionable content, including child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury, animal abuse, offensive or derogatory language, and other potentially disturbing material.
