About The Position

The Director of the School of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the nursing program. Requirements

  • Earned graduate degree in nursing.
  • Current RN license and eligibility for licensure in Michigan.
  • A record of teaching, research, and service excellence sufficient to merit appointment as a tenured professor.
  • Evidence of administrative experience.
  • Evidence of experience in accreditation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and administrative oversight for the School of Nursing.
  • Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation.
  • Lead curriculum development and ensure its alignment with professional standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Foster a culture of research and scholarly activity among faculty and students.
  • Manage the school's budget and resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditation standards and state regulations.
  • Represent the School of Nursing to internal and external stakeholders.
