The primary focus of this position will lead a team of account managers to attain annual goals and objectives. This will involve resolving commercial issues, attending key customer meetings and presentations, working with plants, and closing business through the contract stage in a team-selling environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration and min 10-15 years in automotive sales.
  • Proven “top down” selling experience and relationship management with Senior Executives.
  • Solid experience in the automotive industry sector.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources
  • Ability to present a professional sale approach to helping people achieve personal and positional goals
  • Ability to interpret numerical information for costing and analysis for feasibility to quote on business.
  • Ability to develop new and effective methods of increasing sales in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and mentor sales personnel.
  • Ability to appropriately handle employee relations and performance issues.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Excellent customer service, sales and communication skills.
  • Confidence and professionalism to interact with customers over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to work with teams to build strong customer relationships.
  • Drive and self-motivation to generate revenue by selling company products.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
  • Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
  • Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
  • Maintain department 5S requirements.
  • Determine the annual sales and gross profit plan by implementing sales strategies and analyzing trends and results in conjunction with the executive management team.
  • Forecast expected sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers.
  • Develop and administer a sales plan that will ensure customer satisfaction, assigned quota attainment, and a highly skilled and motivated staff.
  • Develop an annual action plan to support business group revenue goals and maintain quarterly revenue forecasts against annual target.
  • Develop a sales strategy and implementation plan to close new business to achieve annual financial targets.
  • Resolve conflict situations as needed, to ensure the most beneficial application of business opportunities are achieved within the Linamar long term business objectives.
  • Develop a solid understanding and relationship with the various Group business staff to support full understanding of Linamar’s overall business capabilities.
