About The Position

PIM Brands is seeking a Director of Sales Planning to join their Sales Department at their Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey. This role will support PIM Brands' sales planning activities, including trade funding, promotion management, new item commercialization, forecast planning, and sales administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in the CPG industry, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally. PIM Brands is a growing snack company known for brands like Welch’s® Fruit Snacks and Sun Maid® Chocolate Raisins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 8 or more years of sales planning experience required
  • CPG industry experience required, with a food or beverage being preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and bias for action
  • Ability to successfully work cross-functionally and manage third-party vendors
  • Strong leadership coupled with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, IRI, database information sources, and web applications

Responsibilities

  • Recommend trade funding allocations, monitor trade spending nationally, and develop and manage the overspend process.
  • Ensure field team enters valid programs properly using Exceedra.
  • Vet out incremental programs and make recommendations to senior sales leadership.
  • Identify and recommend the most profitable programming based on brand/sales strategy.
  • Issue promotional guidelines and manage the off-shelf programming process nationally, including temporary shippers, counter displays, and permanent merchandising.
  • Assist in determining price recommendations and communication, including a tracker to manage activity.
  • Assist in launch forecast and create/maintain a launch tracker.
  • Assist in creating a Priority List inclusive of new items.
  • Manage customer timelines for launches.
  • Manage communication to field sales on forecasting changes (cuts, etc.).
  • Provide input and make recommendations to the sales team on forecast adjustments based on performance analytics.
  • Work closely in collaboration with supply chain and act as the field sales link to supply chain.
  • Manage the price list file for organization and sales usage.
  • Ensure all invoice/check request processing is completed for Sales.
  • Collaborate with sales and legal to keep contracts up to date and maintain key sales documents.
  • Manage all synchronization tools (e.g., 1worldsync, etc.).
  • Populate distributor sales and commissions reports, including spins.
  • Manage product & display directories for sales usage.
  • Create and manage Fact Sheets.
  • Ensure new item packages are sent to suppliers (IRI, Syndigo, etc.).
  • Administer the Telus tool and provide TPM training.
  • Keep up-to-date line review and reset trackers, as well as the distribution tracker.
  • Serve as the communication lead for Sales by providing weekly announcements, Sales Hub, and corporate announcements.
  • Disseminate distributor/wholesaler reporting.
  • Create and maintain the shipment reporting process.
