About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the Indoor Air Quality group at Panasonic Eco Systems North America. The Director will lead Sales and Customer Service while influencing Product Development, Engineering, Planning, Government Affairs, and Marketing. The position involves developing and executing Sales and Marketing strategies to drive demand, increase sales, and expand market share in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Create a “winning” culture and team.
  • Provide leadership & strategic decision making to IAQ’s Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Product functions.
  • Develop departmental & management goals, define key performance metrics & indicators for measuring success, and effectively use those tools for management control, reporting, and driving improvement.
  • Staff the organization with competent talent, align them according to strategic organizational objectives, and manage them to engage their talents, motivate, and retain and promote our strongest contributors.
  • Develop the competencies of managers & their staff and ensure effective succession planning for all key positions. Specifically develop staff's industry & product expertise to differentiate Panasonic in the market.
  • Responsible for the development & achievement of IAQ's entire BP with full P&L responsibility. Responsibility includes all IAQ sales channels, and all product families.
  • Achieve growth targets in alignment w/ IAQ corporate goals, achieving $293M business by 2028, and surpassing Broan as #1 share before 2030.
  • Manage all financial aspects of the business in line w/ IAQ goals including maintaining GP targets, assuring collection ratio & chargebacks, minimizing credit losses & inventory losses.
  • Identify and make business case (ROI analysis) for investments in resources, IT & CRM Software, Automation investments, 3rd party engagements, etc.
  • Must be able to collaborate and exert strong influence over other related Panasonic departments vital to achieving IAQ’s success, especially PESNA Marketing & Strategic Business Development, Factory, Engineering, Government and Legal Affairs.
  • Understand the homebuilding markets and the sales channels that Panasonic participates in (Wholesale/Regional, Retail, and E-commerce).
  • Determine current and anticipate future market and product trends, industry influences, and competitor activities.
  • Use a data-driven approach to lay out the Business needs, Product Roadmaps, Sales & Marketing plans, and Channel-specific & Regional-specific Strategies in order to achieve successful long-term market share growth and profit targets.
  • Use expertise & analysis to convince Panasonic leadership to support and enable your direction and investment needs.
  • Drive the successful commercialization of new products.
  • Establish a more automated and higher efficiency PSI control that is unified (one system) between Sales & Manufacturing.
  • Make sure IAQ is providing appropriate field technical & quality support, and has a robust returns and warranty process in place.
