Director, Sales Lead — Google (Gemini Enterprise)

Artefact•New York, NY
•$250,000 - $400,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Artefact is hiring a Sales Lead for its Google Cloud practice in the Americas, focused on Gemini Enterprise. This is a business-development and selling role measured on sold business rather than utilization. The role owns Artefact’s relationship with Google and the business developed through that partnership, while also shaping the services offered and taking a hands-on role on selected engagements to maintain quality and ensure the team can deliver on its commitments. The Sales Lead will build relationships across Google’s field organization, establish a disciplined co-selling process, generate and close opportunities, and package repeatable offers across Gemini Enterprise, Agent Gallery and ADK, Vertex AI, and BigQuery. The position also includes developing a dedicated practice team, certifications, reference architectures, demos, and thought leadership. Success means becoming a first-call partner for Google’s Americas field, growing partner-financed pipeline and formal partner standing, and establishing a repeatable Gemini Enterprise sales motion.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of experience in consulting, technology, or media, with a record of winning work and building a book of business.
  • Proven partner-sourced revenue through a hyperscaler or software alliance, including the ability to state what share of the candidate’s number it represented.
  • Experience co-selling with Google sellers and customer engineers, and familiarity with Partner Advantage mechanics such as badges, specializations, funding, and deal registration.
  • C-level advisory experience in data, digital, or AI transformation.
  • Sufficient fluency with Gemini Enterprise, Agent Gallery, ADK, Vertex AI, and BigQuery to shape solutions with a customer engineer and advise a CIO on platform selection.
  • Hands-on AI building experience and comfort using terminal-based agentic tools such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Codex.
  • Experience leading and developing consulting teams, including recruiting and certification.
  • Executive presence, strong storytelling, and comfort working with ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships within Google Cloud partner, field sales, or Gemini Enterprise teams.
  • Alliance program experience, including tiering, certification, co-selling, and deal registration.
  • Vertical expertise in CPG, retail, luxury, financial services, healthcare, or telecom.
  • Experience taking clients from AI experimentation to scaled, governed adoption.
  • Familiarity with RAG, semantic layers, knowledge bases, and MCP.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with relevant Google account teams, customer engineers, partner managers, and Gemini Enterprise specialists.
  • Run Google enablement activities such as office hours, roadshows, account-team briefings, and offer-sheet distribution; participate in QBRs, territory planning, and field events.
  • Be accountable for partner tier, partner NPS, and the number of Google sellers who include Artefact in a deal.
  • Operate a disciplined co-sell process, including lead sharing, deal registration, joint account plans, and named pipeline reviews.
  • Manage Google funding instruments, including AI value assessments, proof-of-concept funding, and practice-building support.
  • Create a repeatable sales path from initial conversation to signed SOW, tracking partner-sourced pipeline, registered deals, stage conversion, and cycle time.
  • Generate pipeline with Google and through the candidate’s own network, lead presales end to end, and personally close business across 10–15 priority accounts.
  • Advise CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and CEOs on how Gemini Enterprise fits their AI strategies.
  • Turn delivered work into case studies and partner-validated proof points.
  • Package three to five flagship offers across Gemini Enterprise, Agent Gallery and ADK, Vertex AI, and BigQuery, with defined entry points, durations, staffing models, and price anchors.
  • Own reference architectures and the demo library, and create battlecards on when to lead with Google versus another technology stack.
  • Recruit a dedicated core team, draw on experts from the shared pool, own the certification plan, and run an internal community for the Google stack.
  • Keep the practice profitable and contribute co-branded thought leadership with Google Cloud.
  • Use AI tools daily and prototype with agentic coding tools.
