About The Position

Summary Provides management direction and guidance to staff responsible for researching, negotiating, developing, promoting, implementing, and managing ERS programs and products, which are strategically important to the Association. Collaborates with key association clubs and committees to identify potential opportunities for product and service differentiation. Negotiates national contracts with preferred suppliers. Duties & Responsibilities Manages, coaches, advises, and provides direction to staff responsible for researching, negotiating, developing, promoting, implementing, and managing strategically important ERS programs and products. Researches, develops, and implements new and innovative ERS programs and practices, including negotiating and preparing contracts with suppliers. Develops and actively manages the annual operating budget for the ERS Network Department, ensuring the department meets its financial goals and obligations. Plans, directs, and supervises ERS database (statistics and ERS reciprocal clearing bureau) functions, including using data for marketing and revenue-producing activities. Prepares presentations, executive summaries, and other supporting documentation to assist Automotive Senior Management with presentations to the Automotive Subcommittee, Strategic Business Committee, Member Services & Benefits Subcommittee, Accreditation Commission, and Board of Directors. Presents topics in meetings and conference calls as required. Serves as contact for the towing industry. Cultivates strategically important relationships with suppliers, media, and others involved in the industry. Plans, directs, and guides the work of professional team members, ensuring appropriate levels and organization of staffing and systems resources are utilized and maintained. Hires employees, evaluates training needs, supervises, and evaluates the performance of subordinate team members, including written evaluations; addresses performance issues when necessary. Excellent communication skills, including strong negotiating skills. Proven ability to foster productive relationships with peers, subordinates, and business partners. Proven ability to guide production and/or support of services and/or products to completion. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think conceptually and effectively communicate direction to associates and business departments. Strong negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills; able to present to senior management and stakeholders. Business travel required. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in road service delivery, operations, and program development. Thorough knowledge of the towing industry and motor club operations. Hiring Range: $109,700 - $138,220 This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.
