About The Position

The Director, Risk Management and Compliance provides strategic leadership for the organization’s Quality, Risk Management, and Medical Staff functions. The role oversees clinical risk programs, claims management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. The director develops departmental goals and standards and directs operational performance, patient care quality, audits, staffing, budgeting, and compliance activities. The position collaborates across the organization to support regulatory readiness, continuous improvement, professional development, and excellence throughout the continuum of care.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 3 years as a Director or Manager.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification within three years of employment.

Nice To Haves

• MSN, Healthcare Administration, or MBA.
• Prior acute healthcare risk management experience; this may substitute for leadership experience.
• Experience working in a for-profit hospital.
• Previous Director-level experience.
• CPHRM certification upon hire.
