About The Position

This position is for the Ontario Region and is responsible for leading Regional Revenue Management Strategy and creates, coordinates, launches and executes Regional Local margin strategies. This role will work with internal partners and ensure that the Region/Site Annual Operating Plans margin dollars, percent, sales, and case growth targets are achieved for locally managed business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience revenue management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • University degree in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance or similar field required
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrates well developed influencing skills with the ability to easily connect in a credible manner with all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to think quantitatively, quickly analyze reports and data to prioritize opportunities

Nice To Haves

  • MBA in Business, Finance or Accounting an asset
  • Exposure/familiarity to Lean Six Sigma environment is an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of pricing, merchandising and sales

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop regional revenue managers within the centralized pricing team
  • Develop and lead Revenue management strategies for the regions
  • Act as an overall business partner to Regional President, VP’s of Local Sales
  • Review sales/margins and identify errors/anomalies, analyzing and working with internal partners on areas of opportunity as well as identifying any potential concerns
  • Provide analysis for both short and long-term margin Trending/Forecasting to identifying potential opportunities, shortfalls, roadblocks and hurdles
  • Support Change management for new pricing model
  • Create Process and Handbooks around standardized pricing management
  • Train field Revenue Managers on utilizing all available margin tools (Playbook) to proactively manage all aspects of Local Margins including but not limited to customer pre-tax calculations; assist in creating customer action plan when necessary
  • Provide weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons
  • Provide guidance on Costing Equity and EI opportunities through analysis and direction from Equity/Costing Committee in conjunction with the Merchandising team.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and communication of the Fuel Surcharge.
  • Thoroughly understand and analyze SC compensation to make annual recommendations
  • Review sales and case growth to ensure margin growth is positively impacting market share growth
  • Host Revenue Strategy Meetings to communicate strategy and develop corrective actions
  • Analyze trends and conduct root cause analysis to support continuous improvement efforts or remedy identified defects impacting outcomes
  • The ability to analyze and independently solve a variety of difficult situations and problems, including the ability to navigate through complex organizational structure
  • Ability to use economic, financial, market and industry metrics to understand and improve business results; use one’s understanding of major business functions, industry trends, and Sysco’s position to contribute to effective business strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrates consistency in executing business objectives; actively driving performance, solving problems and barriers to execution, and delivers projects through to on-time completion
  • Leverages information technology and metrics to make fact-based decisions. Takes appropriate action based on factual information.
  • Ability to facilitate and align department leaders around common goals and operating requirements across a multi-site regional geography.
  • Ability to effectively lead change and transformational initiatives through sound change management practices that will ensure sustained adoption, including stakeholder engagement across multiple functions
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
