About The Position

The Director – Retail Services & Asset Management is responsible for leading enterprise-wide retail service programs and asset management operations, ensuring consistent execution, cost optimization, and data integrity across all store locations. This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight for service expense categories, vendor performance, and asset lifecycle management within facilities systems. The Director partners closely with Operations, Facilities, Sourcing, Finance, and IT to establish scalable programs, governance frameworks, and best practices that drive efficiency, enhance service quality, and improve financial performance. This leader ensures alignment between field execution and corporate strategy while driving continuous improvement across both retail services and asset management functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Facilities Management, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 10–12 plus years of progressive experience in retail operations, facilities, sourcing, asset management, or related functions
  • Proven experience leading multi-site service programs and vendor management at scale
  • Experience managing asset tracking systems and data governance processes (Corrigo or similar preferred)
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong strategic thinking and program leadership capabilities
  • Expertise in vendor management, sourcing collaboration, and service operations
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and data governance
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Ability to lead teams and drive results in a fast-paced, multi-site environment

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy for retail service programs and asset management operations across all banners and locations
  • Establish governance, performance standards, and scalable processes to ensure consistent execution
  • Align service programs and asset management practices with company goals for cost, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on service program performance, spend optimization, and asset visibility
  • Oversee retail service expense categories, ensuring effective program execution and vendor performance
  • Drive development of category strategies, playbooks, and operating models
  • Ensure consistent program deployment and adherence to service standards across all locations
  • Partner with Sourcing and Finance to manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize spend
  • Monitor service performance, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions
  • Lead asset tagging and asset data management programs, ensuring accurate tracking of equipment lifecycle (installation, transfer, retirement)
  • Establish data governance standards and ensure integrity within systems such as Corrigo
  • Oversee asset visibility and reporting to support operations, maintenance, and capital planning
  • Drive improvements in asset tracking processes, tools, and system capabilities
  • Develop and execute vendor strategies across retail services and asset management functions
  • Oversee vendor performance, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract compliance
  • Partner with sourcing teams on RFPs, negotiations, and contract implementation
  • Ensure vendors deliver consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective services
  • Own and manage budgets across service categories and asset management programs
  • Track spend performance, forecast costs, and ensure alignment with financial targets
  • Identify and execute cost reduction and efficiency initiatives
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and ROI improvements
  • Lead and develop a team of managers, coordinators, and specialists across retail services and asset management
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability structures
  • Build team capabilities in program management, vendor oversight, and data analysis
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on execution, service quality, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Operations, Facilities, Energy, IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to align priorities and execution
  • Ensure seamless communication between corporate teams, field operations, and vendors
  • Drive adoption of programs, processes, and tools across all levels of the organization
  • Establish reporting frameworks, dashboards, and scorecards to track program and asset performance
  • Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, data quality, and operational efficiency
  • Champion standardization and best practices across all locations
