About The Position

The Director of Retail Operations provides strategic leadership across multiple regions or business segments, responsible for translating enterprise strategy into execution while driving business growth, client outcomes, and organizational performance. This role leads a team of senior leaders, owns P&L performance, client strategy, and cross-functional alignment, and uses data and insights to guide decision-making, shape long-term plans, and influence both internal and external stakeholders. The Director is accountable for organizational capability, leadership development, and sustained growth, ensuring the business delivers both near-term results and long-term value. The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8-10 years experience in relevant field
  • Deep understanding of how retail execution drives client growth, including volume, share, and distribution, and overall business performance
  • Knowledge of multi-channel retail environments and how strategy varies across channels
  • Advanced understanding of full profit and loss ownership, including revenue drivers, margin management, cost structures, and investment trade-offs
  • Knowledge of forecasting, financial planning, and risk mitigation
  • Understanding of client business strategies, category dynamics, and market trends
  • Knowledge of how to position the organization as a strategic partner rather than an execution vendor
  • Deep knowledge of multiple data sources, including point-of-sale, syndicated, financial, and operational data, and how to integrate them into strategic decision-making
