For over 90 years, United Way of Massachusetts Bay has brought people, partners and communities together to solve our region's toughest challenges. Our work is centered on scaling safe and stable housing, strengthening educational opportunities, building economic mobility, centering youth and young adults, and stabilizing the safety net. United Way is advancing transformational impact through investing in communities and organizations, elevating community voice, sharing expertise and knowledge, convening partnerships across sectors and advocating for changes in public policy that scale what works. We believe real, transformative change only happens when people work together. We bring together community-based organizations, businesses, government, philanthropy, and neighbors to respond to today's challenges while building long-term solutions that help everyone thrive. The Director, Research and Evaluation plays a lead role in enabling UWMB to share its expertise and knowledge and disseminate research to support data-driven decision-making. They do this by leading evaluation efforts to articulate and document UWMB's impact and opportunities for growth and change, as well as by facilitating the translation of research evidence into practice and policy. The Director will collaborate with their colleagues across the organization to implement appropriate methods of data collection and analysis, support engagements with independent evaluators and researchers, develop evidence-based content to advance systemic change, and support the production of new research that drives UWMB's impact. They are an experienced champion of data-informed continuous improvement and of centering participants in research, evaluation, and measurement activities. They are also an organizational leader in closing the loop between learning and action.
