About The Position

Provides innovative leadership to maximize the entity’s contribution to overall corporation performance through effective planning and management of the corporation’s human and financial goals. Ensures the entity contributes to the corporation’s mission and goals by planning, organizing, and supervising the overall operation of the Therapies department. Plans, organizes, markets, and directs BMHUC Rehabilitation Services, and is responsible for the quality and quantity of care provided to inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation patients by staff.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare is preferred.
• A baccalaureate degree in physical, occupational, or speech therapy is required.
• Licensure in physical, occupational, or speech therapy is required.
• Computer knowledge is required.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• A master’s or doctorate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and markets services that meet the needs of identified internal and external customers by evaluating customer needs and expectations and developing improvement plans with measurable goals.
• Provides leadership by modeling the company vision and values and communicating policies and goals to staff to enhance employee skills, management, and leadership.
• Directs operational management by assessing department operations and interacting with staff and customers to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Oversees orientation, training, and ongoing education for new and existing staff.
• Manages the financial and budgetary performance of assigned areas by evaluating products and services, analyzing departmental operations, implementing workload standards, identifying cost-reduction opportunities, and optimizing resource use and profitability.
• Facilitates customer satisfaction by communicating and interacting with key internal and external customers to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Performs the principal responsibilities of a staff therapist as required.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or directed, including other duties as assigned.
