The Director, Regional Marketing (Americas) is responsible for the overall direction and road map for Key Account and wider regional marketing across the Americas. . The role will drive alignment between the Key Account and regional commercial priorities, delivering impactful marketing programs that contribute to the achievement of US growth and commercial goals. The role requires in-depth knowledge of the US life science market, with the ability to launch compelling regional marketing programs that complement our global product and marketing strategy, as well as capitalizing on regional opportunities. This position reports to the Commercial General Manager, Americas and is part of the US Commercial organization and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Set strategic direction and long-term roadmap for Americas regional marketing, ensuring alignment with regional commercial objectives well as global strategic priorities. Architect and implement localized marketing strategies that reflect the complexity, scale, and competitive dynamics of the US life science market Lead the design and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns- spanning digital, social media, events, and promotional activities both broadly and as Account Based Marketing in Key Accounts. Ensure that all initiatives are optimized for measurable commercial impact, pipeline acceleration and brand leadership focusing on leading indicators to allow for predictability of revenue Establish a rigorous performance framework, analyzing campaign effectiveness, market and customer engagement metrics. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and the sales team to continuously optimize strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness/ROI Serve as the primary marketing partner for the Americas Commercial GM plus wider Abcam executive and leadership teams, owning cross functional alignment and ensuring marketing initiatives directly support commercial priorities, key account strategies, and regional revenue goals. Use insights to inform strategic decision-making and capitalize on new opportunities for partnerships. Develop and execute a scalable Event strategy with the US Sales team that is based ROI and brings the voice of customer back to the business Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the US market, ensuring that feedback and insights from regional activities are communicated effectively to global teams. Build scalable processes that strengthen alignment and accelerate decision making across regions. As a strategic Marketing leader, provide mentorship and coaching across the commercial organization to elevate team capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and drive best-in-class practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Biology or a related field
  • 5+ years experience leading strategic marketing programs in the US market, ideally within life sciences, with a proven track record of driving brand growth, demand generation, and commercial impact
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key senior marketing and sales stakeholders, and influence global marketing teams
  • Skilled in shaping regional strategies and integrating regional trends, opportunities, and priorities into broader commercial plans
  • Strong communication and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and inspiring teams and stakeholders with a compelling vision and strategy
  • You will provide direction to the Americas commercial functions and the global teams, so strong direct and matrixed management experience is required
  • Ability to travel as needed within the region (approximately 25%), some global travel required
