About The Position

We’re building our regional HR team in North America – we’re hiring for Director Regional & Business Unit HR Taste, Texture & Health. This is a critical role that will align the HR strategy with the overall business objectives of the Taste Texture & Health (TTH) Business Unit (BU) in North America. In this leadership position, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within TTH, providing strategic HR guidance and end-to-end HR accountability across the full stack of the TTH business in North America from commercial through to operations. To be successful, you’ll bring strong leadership skills for managing a team of 7 seasoned HR Business Partners. At dsm-firmenich people are at the heart of the company. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role, that includes supporting both commercial and operations client groups
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, regulations, and employment practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Deep business thinking with strong drive and accountability to deliver
  • Minimum 3 years of experience directly managing others along with strong leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required

Responsibilities

  • Forge intense and lasting relationships within TTH NA and with HR counterparts, across the region and globally, to drive the partnership and deliver on our business objectives.
  • Be a key member of the TTH Leadership Team in North America, driving the people strategy for the business in this important region.
  • Think end-to-end in terms of provision of HR support across all areas of the BU from commercial through to operations, having a stellar understanding of how business operates, production operations and financial understanding.
  • Traverse strategic HR thinking in areas such as strategy development, performance and talent management, org design and development etc. and at the same time execute on HR processes, employee relations cases, and full cycle HR execution.
  • Manage the HRBP team for TTH North America and partner directly with a modest-sized client group within the BU.
  • Embody company values and behaviors with the ability to lead a team of seasoned professionals, create followship and progressive HR thinking.
  • Act as a coach, supporting the team in their day-to-day and longer-term development.
  • Be a valued member of both the Regional HR North America and BU HR TTH leadership teams.
